With a Goal ‘to address the issue of HIV&AIDS towards halting and reversing its spread and promoting care and support’, EFICOR has been involved through the threefold approach of prevention, care & support and advocacy. For prevention, EFICOR promotes ‘SAVE’ (Safer Practices, Avail Treatment, Voluntary Counselling & Testing and Empowerment through Education) principle. Under Care & Support, EFICOR provides home based care, psycho-social counselling, nutrition support, facilitate accessing ICTC and ART facilities, diagnostic and therapeutic camps and livelihood provision for families infected and affected by HIV&AIDS. EFICOR advocates on Right to Live (issues of HIV & AIDS) at local, regional, national and international levels through various networks and campaigns so that vulnerable communities live with dignity.

EFICOR works in eight locations in six States through 6 partners and 2 direct projects. Besides, EFICOR conducts training programmes for Civil Society Organisations (CSO), Community Based Organisations (CBO), Faith Leaders, Youth Groups, Vulnerable and High Risk Communities on prevention, care & support and advocacy.

EFICOR produces Information, Education and Communication (IEC) materials every year for CSOs, CBOs and individuals to observe the 1st week of December as ‘AIDS Sunday’ for raising awareness and to take action on the issue.
