Programmes are conducted for equipping those engaged in development for appropriate and effective intervention, benefiting the poor and the marginalised. Research and publications are undertaken to influence thinking on social issues

 
Workshops and Seminars
Workshops and seminars are organised for partners and NGOs on various social issues such as Environment, HIV/AIDS, Disaster Mitigation, Micro-enterprises Development, Children at risk, etc.
 
Community Development Organiser Training 
A six-month residential training combining field exposure is conducted twice a year. Participants are trained in development thinking and action. This programme enables them to become effective change agents in the communities they work with.
 
Community Transformation Training
A three-week course is organised twice a year for organisations, which are involved in community development. It equips participants with a Christian perspective to development issues, and upgrades their understanding and skills in community development.
 
Organisational Development
The capacity of selected partners are assessed, appropriate programmes are developed to build their capacity as an organisation. Areas, include developing vision and mission statements, board development, project management, finance management etc.
 
Care Training
Organisations and churches that provide care for marginalised groups such as Street children, Commercial Sex Workers and People living with  HIV/AIDS, (PLWHA) are trained and equipped. They are also assisted to advocate for the rights of these groups.
 
Regional and National Consultation 
Consultations provide a platform for those involved in various social issues to share ideas and deliberate on strategies. Area specialists in specific fields of development present papers. This facilitates setting new directions for policy and action.
