PARIVARTAN Launched



The Child Survival Project of FICOR funded by USAID was named “PARIVARTAN”. The project was launched on January 12, 2008 at Chandraguda village of Sahibganj District in Jharkhand. Rev. Dino L Touthang, Executive Director, EFICOR dedicated the staff of the project and exhorted them to be the “Light of the Community”. He also hoped to see project bringing about changes in the standards of women and children that they may live longer. The program was attended by leaders of Friends Missionary Prayer Band (FMPB), Roman Catholic Mission (RCM), Emmanuel Hospital Association (EHA) and staff of Rajmahal Food Security Project and Parivartan Project. Mr. Sanjeev Bhanja Director, Program EFICOR briefed the participants about the project while Rev. Kennedy Dhanabalan, Director, Development Education & Capacity Building oriented the new staff about EFICOR’ history, vision, mission values and ethos. The leaders from the partner projects assured their complete support and cooperation in implementing the project activities. Dr. Aravind Kasturi, Professor, St. John’s Hospital, Bangalore facilitated ‘Knowledge, Practice, Coverage’ (KPC) a baseline survey process for all the Parivartan Project staff from 14th to 19th Jan’08.
