Child Survival Health Grant Project (CSHGP)

EFICOR in partnership with Christian Reformed World Relief Committee (CRWRC) received the CSHGP grant from USAID for the year 2007-08. The five year project will be operational with effect from 1st October 2007.

The proposed location of this Child Survival programme is the entire Sahibganj District in Jharkhand State, India. The total population of Sahibganj is 927,770, which includes 161,950 children under age five and 188,511 women age 15-49. The Child Survival and Health Programme will benefit the entire population of Sahibganj over a period of five years.

The goal of the CRWRC/EFICOR Child Survival Programme is to improve nutrition among children under the age of five and reduce mortality among mothers and newborns through building and sustaining the capacity of the community.
